Adele not only sang the theme song "Skyfall" at the 2013 Academy Awards, but took the Oscar home for Best Song.

Singing to a packed crowd at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Adele's performance was nothing short of mesmerizing and hypnotic.

The golden win for Best Song had her choking back the tears as she thanked co-producer and writer Paul Epworth for "believing in me all the time."



The Oscar win was the first for a Bond film in 47 years. In 2012, the franchise celebrated it's 50th Anniversary.

In her post-Oscar win interview, Adele commented that her and Paul had written the first draft of the song in "10 minutes" however the entire recording took a much longer - "We're good but we're not that good. Sorry."
