Madonna played hostess and ruling monarch to the 46th annual Superbowl half-time show with a "Super"-tacular show spanning the Queen of Pop's hits with today's newest and most exciting artists.

Madonna - Superbowl 46 - Half-time Show

Playing to over 167 million viewers in the US alone last year, Madonna quite rightly entered as the Cleopatra of a nation dedicated to M.D.N.A. The show featured collaborations with party men LMFAO, sexy speed mouth Nicki Minaj, mean girl M.I.A. and happy man Cee-Lo Green.

The Queen of Pop began with "Vogue" that segued into "Music" followed by party animals LMFAO's "Party Anthem" and "Sexy And I Know It" complete with line dance shuffle. "Give Me All Your Luvin'" next sported a cheerleader theme with Minaj and M.I.A. until a troup of marching band drummers and Cee-Lo Green began "Open Your Heart" and "Express Yourself". "Like a Prayer" was the finale with Madonna finishing in a shimmering sparkly black robe amid an ocean of black and white gowned choir singers. The legendess disappeared into a plume of smoke from her entrance point with absolutely gigantic words "WORLD PEACE" emblazed on the digital panels at field level.

Critics and media are calling the half-time performance possibly the best ever. Madonna is an artist under control of all facets of entertainment mixing old with new, featuring worldly themes and presently-hot artists, performing death-defying acrobatics (thanks to Cirque du Soleil performers) supported by blazing costumes and the best digital display on stage and the foreground. Not to mention, our 53 yr-old mother still make the heart flutter faster with her stunning looks, choreographed moves and charisma.

It's clear that Madonna's almost flawless performance (a couple of slips and M.I.A. singer giving the camera the bird) will catapult her newest album M.D.N.A to No. 1 in a dizzying number of countries.

The debut single "Give Me All Your Luvin'" released before the weekend is already No. 3 on the iTunes chart.

Does Madonna still have what teenagers want in music?
