2011 has been a fantastic year for Hip Hop with a string of well awaited releases. Jay-Z and Kanye dropped their Watch The Throne LP and Lil Wayne released Tha Carter IV Leaks album. We also saw some outstanding and ground breaking material from Nicki Minaj, Drake, J.Cole, Wale, Young Jeezy, The Roots and Common.

So what can we expect from our Hip Hop kings and queens in 2012???

We can watch out for debut albums from Big K.R.I.T. and Pusha T, Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on Valentines Day, an LP from Big Sean and the first T.I. album since his release from prison.

It doesn't end there though.......Jay-Z has also told MTV News that he's considering a solo album and the sequal to Watch the Throne next year.

In reference to his and Kanye's current Watch The Thone tour Jay-Z said: “It depends on how this thing finishes up,” He added: “We — I say ‘we’ because I’m in Throne mode — we’re in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year. You know, we’re really in a great place creatively. We really found our zone.”

Also in the pipeline is the release of Joe Budden's 'Slaughterhouse' album. Speaking to ESPN about the new album he said: It’s coming this April, hopefully. Shout out to my group, by the way – Royce, Joell, Crooked – signed to Eminem’s Shady Records. The album’s phenomenal."

We'll also be hearing alot from E-40 as they have announced plans to release three full length LPs next year titled The Block Brochure: Welcome to the Soil. 40 Water broke down the release schedule for the trio of LPs, saying that all three will drop the same day on February 28, with a special edition three pack following later.

So the new year looks very HIP HOP packed!! What albums are you looking forward to listen to???
